Las Vegas 2016 New Year’s Survival Tips

So, you are thinking about coming to the Entertainment Capital of the World on the biggest, most exciting night of the year? Then you must be planning on being in Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve. New Year’s Eve in Vegas will be an experience you will never forget, or maybe you will... depending on how far your celebration takes you. Las Vegas is definitely the place you want to be on New Year’s Eve! There is no better place to ring in the New Year with all the people that you love the most! Growing up in Vegas and working in a Premiere Nightclub for the past two years has been one of the best experiences when it comes to New Year's Eve! Be prepared for one of the largest crowds ever to assemble in a two-mile radius, but mostly, be prepared to meet some real characters, or what we call amateurs here in Vegas. Although there is TONS of fun to be had, one must be prepared for some of the realities that New Year’s Eve in Vegas brings. First, be prepared to do a lot of walking, ladies do NOT wear those most amazing heels that you just had to have for this occasion…you’re feet will be aching in the biggest way and no one wants to look tacky and cheap at the end of the night walking around barefoot on The Strip. Bundle up because it will get chilly, just because you’re in Vegas doesn’t mean it will be warm on the First of January! Make sure you have a plan; all the hotels start closing their doors around 11pm and wont re-open until 12:30am after all the firework shows are completed. The Strip starts to close to car traffic at about 6 pm. Las Vegas Boulevard (the main strip road), so you pretty much can’t get anywhere on The Strip by car! I would plan on staying at a hotel to avoid missing out on the fun and avoid all the traffic that hits on New Year’s as well. This year the firework show will be at the Aria, MGM, Planet Hollywood, Caesar’s Palace, Treasure Island, Venetian &The Stratosphere. Since I personally do not like to go to The Strip on New Year’s Eve, I usually get a group of friends to go watch the fireworks in a more secluded spot with an amazing view, so much more enjoyable! The past two years I have spent New Year's Eve in a nightclub working. Marquee Las Vegas is the place to be. This year they will have Fetty Wap & Bruno Mars! They will have plenty of goodies to give out to help ring in the new year festively. Shortly after the countdown, the club gets crazy with presentations and lights and a few small fireworks on some of the bottles. It’s a ton of fun! If you haven’t experienced VIP bottle service in Vegas on New Year’s you should add that to your bucket list, it is definitely something you want to experience at least once in your lifetime! Although it can get a bit pricey to get VIP bottle service, you do have the option of purchasing a General Admission ticket in advance and still join in on all the fun in the nightclubs! Hakkasan will have Tiesto counting down the seconds until midnight, and XS is another great club that will have Alesso! So, be prepared for the mad house here in Las Vegas! It is pure craziness but a grand slam guarantee of having the best time ever! If it’s too late to celebrate New Year’s in Vegas there is always next year.
