Skin Care Routine
I have always been obsessed with taking care of my skin. Whenever I get a pimple I literally start freaking out! Luckily, I have been very blessed to have good skin, but I do owe it to my mom for getting my sister and I on a skin care routine that we have consistently been using since middle school! Yup, that's right... middle school. I think making your beauty routines habit is what makes all the difference, especially when it comes to hygiene and skin! Haley and I have very sensitive skin, so these products are what have been the best for us:
- First step...Always wash your face and get all of your make up off! Sleeping in your make up can be causing major break outs! I never, ever sleep in my make up. I always wash my face with Olay Age Defying Daily Renewal Cleanser. So, you're going to grab a wash cloth and soak it in warm water. Then, apply a fair amount of the cleanser to clean hands and rub gently all over your face and eyes. Simple! I don't know why so many people have trouble making this a habit!
- The next step will be to apply lotion to your face! I use the Olay Active Hydrating Lotion. I love putting lotion on my face...it's a must especially in dry climates like Las Vegas! The desert can wreck soft skin so quick! This lotion is hands down the best lotion on the planet.
There you have it, just two steps! I do this skincare routine every night before bed! I swear by it. I think my regularity keeps me from having break outs for sure. Everything I listed is very inexpensive and you can always find it at your local drugstore.Or buy it on Amazon! Links are posted above and below.
PS - I am excited to try a new under eye cream by Estee Lauder as an addition to my current routine! It is called Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Synchronized Complex II. It is a pricey product compared to Olay, but I will review it on a blog post soon. It is supposed to help under eye circles and since I have really dark circles, I am on the hunt for a cream that will help! Stay tuned for more posts! xo Emily
